A big thank you to everyone who came to our charity Golf day on Friday as well as a big thank you to Chris Richardson for organising a great day!
Some words from Chris below.
The 7th outing of the Red Lion Charity Golf Society took place on Friday 19th May, after a somewhat wet start the weather cleared and despite warnings of rain all day most of the party enjoyed the rest of the day dry.
There were 72 golfers who assembled at Bletchingley Golf Club, this was an excellent turn out and with the proceeds from the sale of SSAFA (www.ssafa.org) golf balls the group contributed over £500 to the charity !
With the recent rain the course was very heavy but that didn’t stop some players posting excellent scores, luckily the Surrey country side wasn’t exposed to a repeat of Andy Blass rolling up his trousers and paddling in one of the lakes looking for the infamous golden ball!
After the golf, the group reconvened at the Red Lion for a late lunch and some well-earned liquid refreshment and prize giving. The staff at the pub did a marvellous job dealing with the group as they arrived.
Here are the results of the day.
Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to everybody for their support.
